I am the proud owner of a beautiful white bike, that I love, but I am too scared of London traffic to actually use it. Enough was enough, I am no longer permitted such a lovely bike if I’m “just going to leave it rust”, so I was dragged sobbing to Richmond Park. I don’t enjoy being wrong, I really don’t, and it is with great pain that I say this… I had a really good time. It was a beautiful day and even though there are cars there, they are, surprisingly, respectful of cyclists. Maybe because they all have kids in the back and “Daddy you ran that man over” probably isn’t want you want to hear from your impressionable three year old.
Here are a few pictures from our day. I highly recommend it as a day trip as a way of escaping London hecticness. We took our bikes on the train and so it made it really easy. Best day out in a long time.
Those are great pictures…and I’m glad you had a good ride 🙂

Thank you. I only had to get off once on a very steep hill.
