I’m not usually successful with the books I pick to read but I’ve recently had a run of good luck and I want to share them with you.
Don’t be put off by the zombie element, it’s not that kind of book. It’s so much more.
This book is wonderfully written, really rich characters. I’m off to watch it at the cinema on Friday.
My Dad recommended Nick Harkaway to me. His imagination is just the kind of lunacy I adore. Again, strong characters.
As you may know I consider myself a YA writer and this is by far one of the better trilogys I’ve read recently. I actually loved the ending, I felt it was perfectly formed and the third book didn’t collapse under the weight of the over-arching story, which seems to happen so often.
Now, I haven’t finished this book yet but I’m half way through and loving it. It reminds me of my favourite 317 girls and thus, it’s like hanging out with friends. Sharp and witty writing.
Feel free to ask me when I’ll finish my book, the guilt might actually force me into action. Instead of novel writing I’ve spent my day making more ridiculous videos and reading Animals. Not particularly productive but it is a Thursday.
